Welcome back to our discussion on how to host an effective open house. Opening your doors to potential buyers is a huge part of making a sale, so you should put time and effort into making sure your showing is successful. 

Now that you’ve prepared your house to be shown, it’s time to advertise the event. Start with word-of-mouth exposure – tell your friends and family members to spread the word about your open house. Email them copies of your property description sheets so they can share them with people who may be interested. 

Put the Internet to good use by spreading the word on your social media pages, posting the event to local real estate listings and even creating a website dedicated to selling your home. And don’t forget about putting a “For Sale” sign in your yard to promote foot traffic.
